Preeti Savory Lime Ginger Steak

I usually prefer to marinate my steak before making it but I didn’t do that today. Was craving steak, so I just whipped this up in 15 minutes and we had this with rice and veggies- hmmmm delish….. This was achieved using my red copper pan and my preeti sauce- which I pre-make in large amounts and refrigerate- I will share how I made the seasoning mix in a separate post. Oh my goodness, let me tell you how making this was really simple and it was done in little time.

Here’s what I put in it:

  • 1 Lb of Beef Chuck Steak – Steak was about 1 inch or 2 cm thick.
  • 1/2 of a Medium-Sized Onion-sliced
  • 1/2 of a Lime
  • 1 Tablespoon of Ground Ginger
  • 2 Teaspoon Preeti Sauce
  • Sprinkle of Crushed Dried Cilantro

Preeti Sauce

  • Garlic
  • Cumin
  • Paprika
  • Scotch Bonnet Peppers
  • Vinegar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Maggi Seasoning Cube
  • Sea Salt

Put sliced onions along with ground ginger and preeti sauce in the empty cooking pan and stir for less than 2 mins, then add steak using a tong, move steak around in the seasoning still the steak has been fully coated in the seasoning. Squeeze lime on the steak and flip the steak repeatedly till it’s brown all brown all over and fully covered in seasoning, sprinkle cilantro on steak. Cover the pan for 5 mins so that the flavor can be absorbed in the steak. Open then flip once more and it’s now ready to be enjoyed. Cooking time depends on your preference – if you like it rare or medium rare then it will take less than to cook. In our house, we love our steak well done – we don’t want our beef still moooing haha-
